What is Indole-3-Acetic Acid (IAA) Solution?

IAA is a naturally occurring plant growth regulator of the auxin family. It’s involved in cell division and elongation aspects of plant growth and development.

The Benefits of Indole-3-Acetic Acid (IAA) Solution

  • Easy to use
  • Used as a supplement in growth media like MS media or Gamborg’s media for callus initiation.
  • Involved in both primary and lateral root initiation.
  • Regulate growth and developmental processes such as cell division, elongation, and tissue differentiation.
  •  In horticulture, used  to promote adventitious root growth.

How To Use Indole-3-Acetic Acid (IAA) Solution?

Follow the given steps to prepare the tissue culture media using PCT’s supreme grade agar:

  • Prepare liquid tissue culture media using PCT’s MS media and add sugar based on the quantity of media you’re making (generally for 1-liter media 25-30 grams of sugar is added), 1ml PPM, and 4 grams of gellan gum.
