What is Kinetin?

Kinetin is a synthetic cytokinin that stimulates cell division when added to growth media such as Murashige and Skoog media in conjunction with auxins.

How To Use Kinetin?

Follow the given steps to prepare the tissue culture media using PCT’s Kinetin Powder:

  1. Prepare liquid tissue culture media using PCT’s MS media (4.54 grams) and add 25-30 grams of sugar, 1ml PPM, 4 grams of PCT gellan gum, or 8 grams of PCT agar.
  2. Then, add the desired quantity of kinetin from the prepared Kinetin stock solution.
  3. Autoclave the medium for 20 minutes at 15 psi and 121℃.
